This means that outcomes always depend on the actions. If you do wrong, you cannot expect the outcomes to be good, and vice versa.

Also another one in Hindi for the same is "Boya ped babul ka to aam kaha te khaay", which means if you sow a babul tree, you cannot eat/expect mangoes out of that tree.
